Copyright, Photo Removal and Corrections

Last updated 25 October 2026For everyone who uses HalallO
Draft — pending legal review. This text describes how HalallO works today but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Details in [brackets] are still to be filled in.

How to ask us to remove copyrighted material or a photo, and how to correct restaurant information.

1.Where to send a request

Email support@halallo.com with the link to the restaurant, review, Spot, photo or profile (in the app: Share → Copy link), what you want us to do, and why. Copyright notices can also be sent by post to [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], attention: copyright agent ([DMCA DESIGNATED AGENT]).

We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days and to act on clear requests within 7 days.

3.Photos of you or your restaurant

  • You appear in a photo and didn’t agree to it: send us the link. We remove photos that show an identifiable person without consent.
  • Restaurant owners: you manage the photos on your listing from the dashboard. For photos posted by diners (for example in reviews), report them in the app or email us; we remove photos that break the Content and Conduct Policy, but not photos just because they are unflattering.
  • Photos you uploaded: delete them in the app, or ask us to remove photos you uploaded to a listing you no longer manage.

4.Correcting restaurant information

  • Hours, phone, website, menu, photos: the verified owner can change these directly. If you are the owner, claim your restaurant.
  • Name, address, map position, closed permanently: report it in the app or email us. A new address can mean a different kitchen, so we check these.
  • Halal information: this isn’t removed on request. It is corrected through evidence; see How Halal Information Works.
  • Reviews: we don’t remove reviews because a business disagrees with them. We remove reviews that break the rules (for example fake or conflicted reviews) after a review.

5.Your personal information

To access, correct or delete your personal information, see the Privacy Policy (diners) or the Business Privacy Notice (restaurants), or email [DPO / PRIVACY CONTACT].

6.Misuse of this process

Knowingly false notices may make you liable for damages. We may ignore requests that are abusive, repeated without new information, or made to hide honest reviews or evidence.
